Question from a gas guzzler
If gas prices are supposed to rise during the winter because of increased demand for heating oil, and if gas prices are supposed to rise during the summer (not to on mention on holidays) because of increased traveling and other reasons, when are they not supposed to rise? The media couldn't possibly be wanting me to be in fear of rising gas prices 24/7/365, could they?
Believe me, I understand the problems with high gas prices. I literally pay between $150 and $200 a month on gas due to my v6 Chevy and a decent commute. Of course the car was free so I'm not going to complain, I just want you to know I have as much right to whine about the evil oil companies as the next guy if I would so choose to.

Your going to love the governor's new fuel.
I live in Clatsop County. I paid 3.29 for gas today.
Since gasoline was replaced by methanol earlier this year, my gas consumption has gone up ten percent.
I am paying more, faster, because of Governor K.
Patootie.
If you think fuel is expensive, do the math and figure out how much we pay for bottled drinking water when purchased in 1 liter bottles or if it has "sports" in the name.
We pay $4.00 a liter for water at the theater. We pay much less for soda that is nothing more then colored water with flavoring. Why do we pay more for water then we do for fuel?
Why do we pay more for water then water with additives called soda?
Coke and Pepsi sell water for well over $4.00 a gallon that is nothing more than tap water. And we complain about $4.00 for fuel? We really need to keep things in perspective don't we? I don't like paying more for fuel either, but I am more pissed about tap water being sold in bottles and sold at prices similar to fuel.
I don't buy bottled water unless I absolutely have to...which so far means: never.
